Job Title: Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher

Job Summary:
We are seeking a nurturing, passionate, and experienced Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role is responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 0–3 years. The Lead Teacher will plan and implement a daily curriculum, provide responsive care, and lead classroom staff to ensure a high-quality learning experience for every child.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide a warm, safe, and responsive environment that supports the developmental needs of infants and toddlers.

Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities aligned with developmental milestones and learning goals.

Foster positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.

Observe, assess, and document children’s growth, behavior, and development using appropriate tools and techniques.

Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom environment.

Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides in the classroom.

Communicate effectively with families regarding their child’s progress, routines, and any concerns.

Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations.

Participate in regular staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow center protocols.
Qualifications:

Minimum of CDA Credential, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.

At least 1–2+ years of experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.

Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Additional certification:

Shaken Baby Syndrome, SIDS (Sudden infant death syndrome),Trauma Informed Practice, Mandated Reporter, Safe food handler

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Ability to lift 30 pounds and engage in physical activities with young children.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a lead or supervisory role.

Familiarity with curriculums

Bilingual abilities are a plus.
